Isa Phillips

Middle distance runner/400 meter hurdles athlete

JAMAICA - A native of Kingston, Jamaica, and a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Isa competed in distance medley relays, 4x400 meter relays, and 800 meters competitions during his college years. But he is best known for competing in the 400 meter hurdles.

After winning 400-meter hurdles titles at the 2004 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) championship and 2005 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) championship, Isa knew there was still more to come. In 2007, right before he won the NCAA Championships and ran the 400 meter hurdles in 48.51 seconds—the fifth fastest time in the world that year and the second fastest time in school history—Isa told an Advocate sports writer, “I have the tools; I just haven’t been able to bring out my best yet.”

Isa has since found his best and credits part of his healthy lifestyle to TAHITIAN NONI® Juice. “I am a pro-consumer of Tahitian Noni® products, and along with TAHITIAN NONI Juice, they have revolutionized my life,” he says. “I grew up in Jamaica where noni grows wild along the coastline and in the rural areas of the Island. I grew up in a health conscious home where drinking noni was part of my daily routine, especially when I started running track. When I moved to the United States I was introduced to TAHITIAN NONI Juice by an IPC, and it tasted great!  I knew how great noni is; great health is invaluable, and so I don’t place a price on my health.”

Since then, Isa has participated in races all over the globe, including Osaka, Japan; Padova, Italy; Rio de Janiero, Brazil; and Monaco. Most recently, Isa represented Jamaica at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China; secured two medals in regional and world championships, and captured a prominent overall world ranking.

To prepare for the Beijing Olympic Games, Isa stayed at the top of his game by consuming an entire bottle of TAHITIAN NONI Juice during track competitions and 1–2 cans of HIRO™ per day. He proved—and continues to prove—to his fellow athletes that it is possible to be an champion without the aid of banned substances. “Since I started drinking TAHITIAN NONI Juice in 2005, I have experienced significant results in my athletic performance, health maintenance, and overall health.”
