![]() Tahitian Noni International Receives Novel Food Approval For Noni Leaves Eurpean Food Safety Authority (EFSA) Authorizes New Food Ingredient PROVO, UT, February 3, 2009 – Tahitian Noni International (www.TahitianNoni.com) has recently received approval from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) authorizing the use of the leaves of Morinda citrifolia (commonly known as noni) as a new novel food ingredient. The Commission of the European Communities has adopted the decision that at the anticipated levels of intake, the dried and roasted leaves of Morinda citrifolia are safe and may be marketed in the European Community as a novel food ingredient for the preparation of infusions.
