UNITED KINGDOM - Earl Taylor was born in Portadown, Northern Ireland in 1947. Having competed in athletics in his youth, Earl returned to competitive athletics at the age of 58 and now competes at the local, national and international level.

Earl is currently the Northern Ireland National Champion in Mens Over 60 category at 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres and Javelin. He is also the Northern Ireland Decathalon Champion and the All Ireland Penthalon Champion for the same category, as well as holding the all time Irish record for Javelin, national record for the 300 metre hurldes and being currently ranked No. 2 in Great Britain for the Outdoor Penthalon.

Earl was also selected for the Great Britain team in the Mens Over 60 Decathalon in June 2008 vs. USA in Joplin, Missouri.

Recent events in which Earl competed include the Irish Indoor Championships in Nenagh, Ireland in January 2008, Great Britain Championships in London, February 2008 and the European Championships in Slovakia in July 2008.

Married for over 30 years and with 3 daughters and 2 grandchildren, Earl is Managing Director of an employment law consultancy company.
